The Nutley Thriving Survivors, Inc. is a breast cancer support program that has been providing support for women who live or work in Nutley, NJ, who have battled breast cancer.  We call them "Thrivers." It was started in 2003.  Food certificates are sent for use during treatment, mammograms or other medical costs are paid for those without insurance, transportation is offered, or any other service needed.  The phone line is always open for referrals or just to lend an ear.

Our signature events are held every October.  An evening Candlelight  Celebration Walk is held during the first weekend attended by several hundred walkers.  For $35, sweatshirts, candles, water, hot dogs and other goodies are provided.  Usually on the last Sunday in October, Thrivers and one guest are invited free of charge to a  beautiful Celebration Brunch.  It is always an afternoon of love, camaraderie, support and humor.  Supporters are invited to attend the brunch at our cost of $60.

Money for this support and for these events is raised through an annual Golf Outing held in May.  It is a Co-Ed outing, well attended and well-supported by generous sponsors.  Corporate and private donations are always welcome.
